Torque multipliers
Torque multipliers are tools that allow us to tighten and loosen controlled torque according to the technical requirements of the screw connection. They are used where high torque is required.
The main purpose of torque multipliers is to replace long levers for tightening and loosening screws. The torque multipliers are composed of planetary gears. In a torque multiplier, the ratio increases the torque and decreases the output speed compared to the input speed.
In our offer, we have several versions of torque multipliers:
- manual torque multipliers offer a wide range of output torques from the input, which the operator can easily achieve. Manual torque multipliers enable us to achieve extremely accurate tightening torque and a large loosening torque for unscrewing the fastened screws.
- pneumatic torque multipliers are robust tools that are designed for quick and easy work on screw applications. Pneumatic torque multipliers are a very suitable solution for challenging application environments. The torque setting on the pneumatic torque multiplier is done on the pressure regulator. The set pressure on the regulator tells what the output torque on the multiplier is.
- cordless torque multipliers are an excellent solution for complex tasks that require precision and, if possible, traceability. On cordless multipliers, the tightening torque can easily be set as desired. Due to the battery power supply, cordless multipliers are an excellent solution for installation in the field or even at height.
- electric torque multipliers are an excellent solution for complex tasks where accuracy is required and possibly also traceability. With their wide range, electric torque multipliers are replacing hydraulic torque multipliers. Electric torque multipliers are an excellent solution for work on the job site or in the workshop.
- special multipliers are suitable for environments where we are limited with working space.

The company Palarad from Germany has more than 50 years of experience in the development and production of torque multipliers with manual, pneumatic, electric and hydraulic drives. The company was founded in 1962 by Paul-Heinz Wagner. His idea was to improve the standard manual torque multiplier and equip it with an electric drive. The result is the first electric torque multiplier of up to 6000 Nm in the world.
